Jenny Tallis is a senior legal advisor to Claims Funding Australia Pty Ltd and Special Counsel at Maurice Blackburn.
She holds Bachelor and Master of Laws degrees from Adelaide University and has more than 25 years of experience working as a commercial litigator for plaintiff and corporate defendants in Sydney, London, and Adelaide.
Since joining Maurice Blackburn in 2007, Jenny has worked on several complex and successful securities class actions, including cases against the Australian Wheat Board, OZ Minerals, Transpacific Industries, Leighton Holdings and Bellamy’s Australia.
Jenny actively works to counter poor corporate conduct and to promote greater accountability by powerful interests. As part of Maurice Blackburn’s social justice practice, Jenny also led a substantial claim on behalf of intellectually disabled residents of a boarding house in western NSW which settled before trial in November 2016.
Before joining Maurice Blackburn, Jenny conducted numerous, wide-ranging commercial and insurance-related disputes in the District, Supreme and Federal courts. She brings to CFA unique insights and depth of experience from decades of hard-fought litigation on behalf of plaintiffs and defendants.
